Rockynet's "colocation data center operations" Pass Rigorous Audit

Rockynet.com Inc., a leading provider of colocation data center operations to small and medium-sized organizations, announced it has achieved third-party validation under the Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70 (SAS 70) Type II. The SAS 70 certification is an internationally-recognized standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

Internationally recognized as a mark of service quality, a SAS 70 certification demonstrates that a service organization has been through an in-depth audit and third-party certification of its control activities, including IT processes.

Publicly traded companies use SAS 70 Type II audits as proof of compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley's Section 404 regulations, which require the design and test of operating effectiveness of service organization controls. This certification can help Rockynet customers save time and money because they can use the report created as a result of the examination process during audits of their own financial statements.

Rockynet's SAS 70 Type II certification audited significant areas such as Rockynet's control framework, network security operations, change management, patch configuration, user management, and overall effective management practices and key operations.

Type 1 certification reports on a company's controls in operation, while Type II certification also tests an organization's operating effectiveness over a period of time. Rockynet was audited over an eleventh-month period from November 01 2008 through September 30, 2009.

The audit was completed by Yusufali & Associates, LLC, a leading independent certified public accounting and consulting firm which specializes in SAS 70 compliance audits.
